The most popular way to display pictures at a graduation party is to use poster boards. Tri-fold presentation poster boards are the biggest and easiest to display because they stand up. Or you can use more decorative poster boards like those sold at GraduationParty.com. These are good to use if you want to hang them on a wall.
Some people make one poster board with a variety of pictures and other people make two or three or four poster boards. If you use multiple poster boards you can display a variety of pictures on each one or you can “organize” them somehow. One poster board could be childhood pictures, another could be sports or clubs, a third could be senior year, another could be family, and so on.
There is no right or wrong way to create a poster board. Anyone can do it. You can make your poster board(s) fancy by using scrapbooking techniques – mat each photo, add embellishments, include the graduate’s name, etc. If you mat the photos use your favorite colors or your high school or college colors. If you use embellishments use things that are relevant for the grad – graduation, sports, activities, and school embellishments are popular choices.
A more simple poster board can also be fun and interesting … and much less stressful if you’re not the “creative” type. Just place the pictures side by side and glue or tape them to the board. Or lay the photos down in a haphazard way – some straight, some on the diagonal and some overlapping each other.
When making your poster board(s) you can use photos only or you can include other memorabilia such as newspaper clippings, sports buttons, medals and ribbons … pretty much anything you’ve collected over the years.
