Erin's Graduation Poster Boards

Graduation Poster Boards

Graduation Poster Boards

These poster boards are casual in that the unmatted photos are placed on the boards in a haphazard, crooked way with some photos overlapping others. The boards are dressed up with die cut words & letters at the top. Most scrapbooking stores will let you use their die cuts if you buy the cardstock there. They all have letter die cuts and many have graduation and/or congratulatory messages. The salespeople at the store will help you if you haven’t used die cuts before.

For these die cut letters & words, two sets were cut. One in gold and one in maroon which were the colors of the grad’s college. The maroon letters were placed on the boards first. The gold letters were then placed on top, shifted a little so some of the maroon showed through on the left hand side and top of each letter or word, creating a shadow effect.

The photos were placed on the boards in a chronological order with baby pictures on the right hand side and graduation pictures on the left.

Graduation Banners

Graduation Banners are a great way to honor your grad or group of grads or to honor a graduating class.

There are personalized banners, one photo banners, multiple photo banners, horizontal banners, vertical banners, photo standees, posters and wall graphics.

Go to GraduationParty.com’s Banners webpage to see some examples of styles, sizes and prices. More than 50 different styles with up to 1-10 sizes for each style are available. Traditional banner sizes range from 18″ x 54″ (1.5 feet high x 4.5 feet long) to 72″ x 216″ (6 feet high x 18 feet long) and prices start as low as $14.79.

Graduation banners can be personalized and customized a number of ways – by adding your own text, by using your own photo(s) and, in some cases, by picking your own colors.

You can hang your graduation banner outside or inside. If you want to hang it outside, look for strong, weather resistant banners that can withstand wind and rain.

If you’re having a joint party with two or more grads then consider having a banner for each grad or, for a more economical option, have one banner for all the grads. Simply include all their names and, if it’s a photo . . . → Read More: Graduation Banners

Graduation Posters – An alternative to poster boards

Collage Poster

Collage Poster

For high school and college graduation parties many people create and display graduation poster boards or tri-fold boards filled with pictures of the grad and his or her family and friends.

Instead of creating a poster board why not create a poster – a single photo poster or a collage poster. These are especially good options if you have a lot of digital photos and not a lot of time. Most online photo processors offer posters and many local photo labs do too.

Multiple poster sizes are available from 11″x14″, 12″x18″, 16″x20″, 20″x30″ and up. Prices are fairly reasonable especially when you consider the cost (and time) involved in creating a poster board – the cost of the poster board itself, printing and/or copying photos, colored mats for the photos and other embellishments.

If you decide to create a poster make sure the quality (ie: resolution) of your photo(s) is very good. The bigger the poster, the better the photo resolution should be. A small photo may appear to be clear but if the resolution is too low the picture on the poster may print grainy especially when it’s enlarged. The lower the resolution and the . . . → Read More: Graduation Posters – An alternative to poster boards
