Graduation Poster Boards
These poster boards are casual in that the unmatted photos are placed on the boards in a haphazard, crooked way with some photos overlapping others. The boards are dressed up with die cut words & letters at the top. Most scrapbooking stores will let you use their die cuts if you buy the cardstock there. They all have letter die cuts and many have graduation and/or congratulatory messages. The salespeople at the store will help you if you haven’t used die cuts before.
For these die cut letters & words, two sets were cut. One in gold and one in maroon which were the colors of the grad’s college. The maroon letters were placed on the boards first. The gold letters were then placed on top, shifted a little so some of the maroon showed through on the left hand side and top of each letter or word, creating a shadow effect.
The photos were placed on the boards in a chronological order with baby pictures on the right hand side and graduation pictures on the left.
By graduationparty, on November 14th, 2009% New for 2010 is a photo Guest Book from OurHubbub.
Photo Guest Books are similar to photo books except there are lots of spaces for your guests to leave congratulatory messages. You can include plenty of pictures too. Pictures of your grad when he or she was a baby or just starting school. Pictures of your grad with family. Pictures of your grad with his or her friends. Pictures of your grad at Prom. Pictures of your grad’s senior photos. Any pictures you want.
A great idea is to include pictures of your grad with some of the family and friends who are invited to the party. They can leave congratulatory messages next to the pictures they’re in. Think of how much fun it would be for your grad’s friends to see themselves in pictures with your grad, especially when they’re younger. It will bring back some great memories!
I have ordered from OurHubbub a few times and they make an excellent high-quality product. Their website is fairly easy to navigate as well. I love this photo guest book! It makes a wonderful momento.

By graduationparty, on November 6th, 2009% Graduation Photo Books are a great alternative to traditional scrapbooks. They usually have a template that you can use as is or modify any way you want. Most Photo Books start at a minimum of 20 pages but you can add more pages (up to 100 in most cases) at an additional cost per page.
Photo Books come in several sizes, from 5″x7″ up to 12″x12″. You can add multiple photos per page as well as text.
If your photos are already digital – on your computer, on your camera or on CDs – then creating a photo book is fairly easy. Simply find a template you like, upload your photos and then add the photos to the photo book. Some photo books allow you to embellish the pages with digital stickers and other graphics. Most let you add text such as descriptions and headings.
If you have printed photos then you can create digital versions by scanning them yourself or by having them professionally scanned at a local or online photo lab. If you scan your photos yourself, make sure you scan them at the best resolution and biggest size possible. The better the resolution, the clearer the picture will be when it’s printed.

By graduationparty, on March 29th, 2009% Are you looking for a unique graduation gift but have a limited budget or have A LOT of graduation gifts to give? Or do you just want a little “something personal” to go along with a gift of cash or a check? Then a thoughtfully created Graduation Mix CD might be the gift you’re looking for.
Burn your own Graduation Mix CD by using songs your grad loves to listen to or use a selection of songs from their favorite artists. Or do something a little different and choose a selection of graduation themed songs from familiar artists. Check out the post published earlier entitled “Songs to use for graduation” for a list of popular graduation themed songs.
Songs are copyrighted so remember to use purchased versions – buy the CD or purchase the song from a reputable online website like iTunes, Napster or Rhapsody.
Once you’ve burned your CD create a fun CD label and jewel case label for it. You can choose a design and add your own text and/or photo. There are many computer software packages that can help you do this. Or buy a CD label kit and use the software or templates that come with it. By graduationparty, on March 19th, 2009% Need some songs to play at your graduation party? Want to create a graduation DVD or a graduation mix CD for your grad and his/her friends?
Here are some songs that will fit the bill. Remember … when using these songs be fair to the artist. Buy the CD or download the songs from a reputable online music store like iTunes, Napster or Rhapsody.
By graduationparty, on February 12th, 2009% Graduation is the perfect time to create a personal DVD for your grad using photos and home videos. DVD’s can be played on your TV or computer during the graduation party and then kept as a beautiful and timeless keepsake after. Once the first DVD is created, copies are very inexpensive to create so you can keep a copy for yourself and give copies to grandparents or other close family members.
The simplest and easiest DVDs contain photos only. The photos must be digital so printed, non-digital photos must be scanned first. You can scan them yourself if you have a computer and a scanner. Just make sure you pick good quality photos and that you scan them at the highest resolution and biggest size possible. The higher the resolution, the bigger the size and the better the quality. Scanning photos yourself is labor intensive so make sure you leave yourself lots of time to do this especially if you have a lot of photos.
When you save your scanned photos to your computer save them in a special folder (or folders) so you know where to find them and give them descriptive names. Include the date the photo was taken in yyyy-mm-dd . . . → Read More: Graduation DVD

The first thing you need to do is decide what your book will include. Do you want to make it about your grad’s life, from baby to graduation? Do you want to include only his or her school years? Do you want to make it more recent and cover the high school years only? Or do you want to make it about their after school activities like clubs and sports?
You can create one all-inclusive book or you can create multiple books.
